NI-NL welcomes the Dutch Ferrari Club to Northern Ireland
As part of their 25th anniversary celebrations the Ferrari Club Nederland is planning a to visit the island with 40 Ferraris.
The visit has been organised by Dr Robert (Bert) Harper, originally from Ballynahinch (but long term resident in the Netherlands) who has promised all his Dutch fellow Ferrari club members great roads, great accommodation and hospitality in Northern Ireland - everything guaranteed in fact, except possibly the weather!
The Ferrari Club cavalcade arrives in Belfast on 25th April and have a programme in and around Northern Ireland on Saturday 26th April. This includes an event with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, when children living with life-threatening conditions are picked up at the Odyssey Arena and driven via Stormont (c. 10.00) to Kirkistown race circuit, where they will take part in a number of hot demonstration laps (12.30-14.30) during an NI Championship motor racing meeting being held there.
The Ferraris will drive to Lisburn (15.30) for a civic reception at the Island Civic Centre and dinner with The Right Worshipful The Mayor of Lisburn City Council James Tinsley. Lisburn has been one of the most active bodies in promoting trade relations between Northern Ireland and The Netherlands.
If you see the 'Dutch Stallions' on the roads make sure to give them a warm welcome wave or see them in action at Kirkistown.
